This project consisted of several images that served as metaphors to an article that explored the division of the African American family during modern day times. For this project, our muse's hair was covered with a makeshift "crown" of multi color faux hydrangea that represented the bushes that grew in her great-grandmothers yard, symbolizing the matriarch of the family that also served once as the "glue" that kept the family together.
